  1. To create a custom book, go to your FlatWorld Bookshelf, find the title you want to customize, and click "Read This Book."

    1. Once the book opens in the online reader, navigate to and click "Settings"

    2. At this stage, a pop-up box will appear - click "Customize"

    c. A second pop-up box will appear - click "Customize This Book" to begin making edits

2. After clicking "Customize This Book," you can begin making edits. You may add, remove, edit, and rename content:

a. Rename the book title - this option will appear towards the top of any page while in editing mode

b. Insert, move, remove, or rename chapters and sub-sections by clicking on the 3 lines to the left of any chapter or sub-section

c. Hover over the small dots to the left of any chapter or sub-chapter to rearrange the order of chapters and sub-chapters

d. Hover over or below any body of text or image to access additional tools for inserting, moving, or removing content

e. At the top of the page in editing mode, you'll have access to additional tools and functions

3. Your work will auto-save, allowing you to resume progress until your edits are complete. To continue making edits, navigate to the 'In Progress' custom book under the 'Customized' tab in your FlatWorld Bookshelf.

Please Note:

1.) After clicking "Customize This Book," a new edition and ISBN will be generated. To prevent multiple "In Progress" titles from appearing in your dashboard, navigate to the "Customized" tab to resume your work.

2.) Added content must be free of copyright restrictions.

3.) Printed copies of a customized text typically take longer to produce. Encouraging digital textbook access is recommended.
