This guide is for students whose course is accessed through a Learning Management System (LMS) and who have multiple accounts in FlatWorld.

Using an LMS can sometimes result in duplicate accounts. This typically happens when a student purchases a book with a different email than the one linked to their course or when the LMS sends FlatWorld a system-synced email/account, which may sometimes be anonymized for privacy reasons.

If you’re unable to load an assignment or access your book, you may need to merge your accounts.

Follow the steps below to complete the process:

  1. Please log in directly through your Learning Management System (LMS) as you would normally, and click on a book or assignment link. This will redirect you to the account merging page. Click on "Merge your accounts here."

2. On the next page, enter your email address (that you normally use) in the right-hand field and click "Request Account Merge."

Once you merge the accounts, you'd log in as you would normally through your course.
