This article describes how to resend grades from integrated FlatWorld Homework courses to Canvas. This is only possible if your integration uses LTI 1.3 (as opposed to LTI 1.1). If you need to resend grades and your integration uses LTI 1.1, please reach out to FlatWorld Support and they will do this from the backend. Conversely, if your integration uses LTI 1.3, you will have to be the one to resend the grades as FlatWorld cannot do it for you.
Scores can only be resent if at least one student has already completed and submitted the assignment. If the "Grades" tab is empty this means that no students have submitted it yet.
Begin by going to your FlatWorld Assignment in Canvas. If the assignment is set to open in a new window, click that link. If not, you can work directly in the FlatWorld Assignment inside the Canvas window. You may be automatically taken to the 'Grades' tab of the assignment, but if you aren't you can get to it by clicking the "Grades" tab at the top of the page:
On this page you will need to scroll down to the bottom of the list of grades, then click the button that says "Export Grades", and select "Sync grades with Canvas":
โ
Note: If you do not see the Sync grades with Canvas" option, this means that your integration is using LTI 1.1, and you will need to reach out to FlatWorld Support and have us resend your scores.
Clicking "Sync grades with Canvas" will open a dialog box that says:
Sync Grades with Canvas
Syncing with Canvas occurs automatically. If you are experiencing issues with certain grades not appearing in Canvas, you can trigger a manual sync.
This will send all submitted grades for [Your Assignment Name] to your Canvas gradebook.
Are you sure you want to sync grades now?
You should select "Sync Grades":

You will see a notice at the bottom of the window that syncing grades has started and your Canvas gradebook will be updated within a few minutes. You can click "OK" to dismiss this notice. Your Canvas Gradebook should then be updated with accurate grades within the next 5-10 minutes, which can be seen by refreshing Canvas.
