LMS-Integrated Homework Course (Blackboard, Brightspace/D2L, Canvas, Moodle)

*Please note: We generally recommend copying assignments individually, as opposed to a course copy. If you encounter any issues with a copied assignment or course, please reach out to our Customer Service Team through our website live chat.

Copying assignments through your LMS-integrated Homework course works similarly to copying assignments in our standalone Homework system.

First, navigate to the Homework tool within your course as you would normally (use these links specific to your LMS to begin that process if you have not already: Blackboard, Brightspace/D2L, Canvas, Moodle). Once you have opened the FlatWorld Homework tool within your LMS, click on the +New button in the Homework window.

Instead of selecting the Create Blank Assignment or Quick Create option, click on Copy Assignment. Use the Course and Assignment dropdown menus to select the assignment you are copying to your course.

After selecting the assignment, click on the Copy button. From here, you will be able to select your settings for the assignment. You can then Publish and Embed the assignment onto your LMS.

FAQ

Q: Can I copy assignments from a standalone Homework course to an LMS-integrated Homework course (or vice versa?)

A: Yes, you can copy assignments from a standalone course to an LMS-integrated course, or vice versa, as long as both courses use the same title and edition of a book and you are listed as an Instructor for both courses.

Q: What if I'm updating the edition of my book for an upcoming course?

A: Please reach out to your designated representative, or our Customer Service Team so we can help update the course textbook for you.
